This work is my first abstract painting, the original was painted live to Primal’s song Only What You can Control (Part II). I wanted to harness the excitement and chaos, versus control of the heavy brush strokes.

Painting en plein air is at the heart of my practice. I take my paints out into the landscape and work quickly in response to what's happening around me – the changing light, weather, colour and movement. Each painting captures one particular place and moment before it changes again.
