Small paintings, big colour.
I create these abstract landscape studies in my studio using a deliberately limited palette and lots of thick, expressive oil paint. Rather than painting a particular view, they're about exploring the feeling of a landscape through colour, movement and memory. Each one is a small, completely original painting in its own right.
I created the Colour Studies Series as an accessible way to start collecting original artwork. They work individually, but I particularly love them gathered together as a pair, trio or larger series. Please get in touch if you want to buy a collection, or to commission a series.
They're painted on canvas board and sold unframed, so you can simply lean one against a wall or shelf to add a hit of colour to a desk or room, or have it framed for a more finished piece.
