Elevate your business through lifestyle-led selling

How can we nurture the product-meets-service ecosystem that drives our economy?

When it comes down to it, services and products are of the same ilk - both meet a need, answer a question, or serve a purpose in exchange for a fee. In whatever form your trade may take - be it a frothy flat white, an immersive theatre performance, or a digital makeover, the products we sell are intertwined with the services we experience. But what’s the difference? And how can we feed one seamlessly into the other to create a balanced and marketable outcome?

It’s easy to recognise products - we see them packaged up, price tag on, and categorised into a variety of different collections and curations. Much the same can be said of services - we often experience them digitally or in-person, presented to us with a series of exciting offerings and guarantees, with a compelling list of add-ons and extras. When we take it back to basics, products and services appear quite the same with one often following the other - just “add to cart” and you’re onto a winner. You’ll know where your business lies on this spectrum, where the two intersect, or where you see it growing and developing, but we think there’s more to it…

We’ve been navigating between these two pillars for some time now with our clients and collaborators, as well as behind the Helena Traill Design scenes. After much toing and froing we’ve settled on a potential solution.

Whether your business peddles a product, or sells a service, the likelihood is your consumer is looking to buy into a lifestyle.

Our day-to-day is made up of a series of products and services, from the morning croissant to a taxi home, our lives are built around exchange. Why compromise on one and leave out the other? Instead, combine forces, and focus on the lifestyle you are selling in tandem with your current business outcomes, be that a service, product, or something in-between.

We’ve worked with many brilliant brands who align their identity, values, and offerings with a marketable lifestyle. Sustainably sourced and family-run restoration business PearTree are a prime example of a brand uniting their bespoke services with their one-of-a-kind products to create a unique and desirable lifestyle. Historically, we buy into ways of life, taking on the various trends and fashions found in experiences like slow living, or plant-based cooking.

Elevate your business through lifestyle-led selling, and make it easy to build a brand with meaning and purpose.
